Licensed brands

Trump World Tower is a residential condominium in Midtown Manhattan, New York City. The building was developed by Donald Trump and opened in 2001. The tower is located at 845 United Nations Plaza (First Avenue between 47th and 48th Streets, Manhattan). Construction began in 1999 and concluded in 2001.

Casinos

Construction of what was originally known as the Taj Mahal commenced in 1983 by Resorts International, owner of the neighboring Resorts Casino Hotel, with an estimated budget of $250 million. Resorts head James Crosby said it might be named the United States Hotel, in reference to the city's first major hotel.

After Crosby's death in April 1986, Resorts International became a takeover target. The Taj Mahal had encountered construction problems, and Crosby's heirs, lacking experience in large development projects, doubted their ability to complete it successfully. Donald Trump, who owned two other Atlantic City casinos, beat out several other bidders to purchase a controlling stake in the company for $79 million in July 1987. Trump was appointed chairman of Resorts International, and said he would complete the Taj Mahal in about a year.

Because New Jersey law prohibited anyone from owning more than three casinos, Trump planned to close the original Resorts casino and operate it as a hotel annex to the Taj Mahal.

Other assets

The yacht was built in 1980 by the yacht builder Benetti at a cost of $100 million (equivalent to $304 million in 2018). Its original interior was designed by Luigi Sturchio.

She was originally built as Nabila for Saudi billionaire Adnan Khashoggi (named for his daughter). During Khashoggi's ownership it was one of the largest yachts in the world, but as of January 2019, is ranked 80th and continues to fall down the rankings, due to the trend of larger yachts being built.

During her days as Nabila, she was featured in the James Bond movie Never Say Never Again, in which she was seen as Flying Saucer (translated from Italian Disco Volante in the source novel, Thunderball), the villain's superyacht mobile headquarters. She was also the inspiration for a track, "Khashoggi's Ship", on the 1989 album by rock band Queen, The Miracle.

After Khashoggi ran into financial problems, he sold the yacht in 1988 to the Sultan of Brunei, who in turn sold her to Donald Trump for $29 million. After a refit, Trump renamed her Trump Princess. Then she was sold in 1991 to Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal for $20 million.

The yacht's latest name stems from the Prince's investment company, Kingdom Holding Company, his lucky number (5), and his children's initials ("K" and "R").

The ship has a beam of 13.25 metres (43.5 ft), a draught of 4.72 metres (15.5 ft) and fuel capacity of 515,000 litres (136,000 US gallons).

When she was delivered she had five decks, a disco, a cinema with seats for 12, 11 opulent suites, a helipad on top (its funnels are sloped outward to avoid interference with the helicopters), a pool with a water jet on top in front of the heliport, 2 Riva tenders, a crew of 48, a top speed of 20 knots, and cruising speed of 17.5 knots; propulsion was supplied by two 3,000 horsepower (2,200 kW) NOHAB Polar engines.
