This tax reform business is a very good example of just how incompetent Republicans are when it comes to governing. Giving a big tax break to people who don't need it? Are you kidding?
No it's not - not even close. We need reform not favor. We need a sound governing budget and reform not screwing the many to feed the few. What anyone trusts Ryan on fiscal equality or Trump on what is good is beyond me. Devil in the details as what do we LOSS to pay for this so called cut and how much to the wealthy GAIN in this tax cut games of lies? FACT: Trickle down in reality is tinkle on. It failed before and is a flawed economic process. Greed wins over caring about others. We need tax reform, but not a budget and reform that screws the many to serve the few, the wealthy, the haves. Congress - stop the games and serve America - not just PARTY and wealth. Congress ... "Just say no" to a tax reform that screws the many to serve only the few.
So really, scratch an anti-trump Senate Republican, and just below the surface, you find a help-the-rich-to-hell-with-the-rest-of-you-nobodies same old garden variety republican. When are the poor fools who insist on voting for republicans going to wake up? Stop voting to make the rich richer, and vote for your own best interests. It’s not that complicated. Make Congress Blue Again in 2018.
The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, conducted a study on the measure and found that it only benefits the rich.
The GOP plan needs to allow people to deduct state and local taxes from their taxable income. Otherwise you are paying a tax on a tax. The jump from 12% to 25% is extreme for the incomes of singles and married couples. The income taxes at 25% should be at a higher level.
Here are a few lowlights: ◦Want a new house? If you're in a big city you'd be screwed. It limits the mortgage tax deduction of $500,000 for new home purchases. Existing mortgages will be grandfathered.◦Have a student loan? Bad news. It repeals the deduction for student-loan interest.◦Have high medical costs? You're hit, too. It repeals the itemized deduction for medical expenses.◦Have children? The child tax credit would be increased from $1,000 to $1,600, though the $4,050 per child exemption would be repealed. In return, it creates a new $300 credit for each person in a filer’s family who isn’t a child. But that tax credit expires in six years.◦Do you want to adopt a child? You won't get a tax break. It repeals the tax credit for that, because family values.◦Pay a lot in local taxes? Bad news here, too. It repeals the deduction for state and local income and sales taxes. You would still get a deduction for property taxes, up to $10,000.Call your Representatives (202) 225-9896. Demand they vote no on tax hikes for the middle-class.
Rather than moaning and groaning! We need to be leading. Laying out a plan where everyone pays. A description of how we reduce the 20 Trillion Dollar debt our grandchildren will have to deal with. Making them serfs, no slaves, to the bureaucrat!
The GOP is paying back big donors; the Koch Bros, the Mercers, the Adelsons and Murdochs!!! This is not Tax Reform this is a giveaway to rich people!
Political propaganda action......give theMiddle class little bit ..... camouflage thethe real reason.......... to make the Rich ofthe Rich untouchable.Disaster in the making
The middle class “crumbs” are not going to take the place of what healthcare will cost when trump finishes sabotaging what’s left of the ACA. What about Medicare and Medicaid? What has to go to give the very rich the best Christmas ever? It’s a shell game, and ryan, mcconnell, and trump think we are all a bunch of bumpkins who just stepped off the train. Please don’t let them trick us. Nobody can be as dumb as they think we are. Three con men in checkered suits; that’s all they are. Make them tell the truth about who wins and who loses in this great tax plan. Who is doing away with estate taxes going to benefit? Well, the Trump kids for sure.
