NOT SURPRISE A BIT DENS AND THEIR GARBAGE HAVE BEEN WINNING THIS STATE FOR FAR TO LONG MAKES A BODY WONDER
Hooray! With this passed and CHIP fully funded, many parents can now breathe a sigh of relief. Finally, legislative bodies at both state and federal levels can get down to other important business.
I'm so proud of those in this state that voted to protect healthcare for the most vulnerable, voted to stabilize healthcare premiums, and have hospitals & insurance companies pay a fair share.
Well done?? You just made it more unaffordable for the poor! While you let a lot of special interest groups get out of it! Great job!
now..the insurance companies will pass on the increase to us for sure. It is up to us to implement a single payor system and get them, the middlement who deny coverage, out of this equation. One step at a time!
Now it's time our state's legisltors to work on legislation like they just passed in Montana-- any internet provider in that state must follow the rules of net neutrality or not do any such business at all. We need that here!
We are all in this together. Without adequate healthcare for those most in need, routine preventative care would be unaffordable to them, then emergency room visits for immediate acute care would more expensive. Although some Republicans would not address this matter in the legislature directly fearing voter backlash over the tax on health insurers being passed on to the insured, i believe the cost of healthcare for the uninsured is passed on to us the insured anyway. Having Oregonians insured seems a far better bang for our buck and our community. I still support MEDICARE FOR ALL!
Thanks Senator Merkley for your vote for DATA - so sad your counterparts in Washington, Patty Murray and Maria Cantwell didnt follow your lead. 😒
Never doubted. Not sure how close we are to universal health insurance within the state of Oregon but I want us to get there and become the first domino in that process.
I am glad this passed; was really concerned. Not because I love taxes, but because we need to care for those less fortunate. That is what helps create a just society.
