I think they should go and right when he starts, turn their backs to him... he would flip out on live TV
Yeah, I agree. I was thinking all Dems should boycott but the R's would just bring in seat fillers. MUCH more dramatic and making a point would be to show up and then after he is introduced, THEN get up and walk out en masse, backs turned, showing the world that we do NOT support this President.
Rather than boycott, it would be more powerful if they stood and turned their backs on him as he spoke. This is their house he’s coming to; they shouldn’t have to leave their own house because of him. Make him feel unwelcome instead.

I still say they should all show up and be seated. When the orange turd opens his mouth, they all stand and leave in unison. That will make a bigger impact on the POS then already empty seats.
When the President walks in every one should stand in complete silence. No hand shakes no cheers nothing. Stand for the office not for the man. He should only get silence. Bo e chilling silence...
There is no need to watch Don the Con's Stench of the Union Address this year. I have managed to procure a copy of what he will say—it mainly will include several hundred utterances of "No collusion, no collusion" and "Everyone in the studio agrees that my performance is the best in Russ ... I mean American history, this I can tell you. And Obama knows it, everyone says so."
I applaud Waters for her decision. More members of Congress need to do the same. In fact, they should attend and when Trump begins to speak, they should get up and walk out. Let this act of defiance been seen on national television.
Better yet, go to the SOS.But stand and turn your back.Be visual. This Republican President plays to the cameras.Hit him where it hurts with your own visual statement.
Good for her. And those who attend should get up and yell YOU LIE when appropriate. It is a Republican MO, isn't it?
