I have no idea of what the nay sayers mean.......I truly believe he has been one of our better governors!!!!
It’s not your responsibility to help everyone in Puerto Rico. You bring them here and it’ll be a disaster. People of Florida including vets and our homeless come FIRST
He can’t even help Florida. Do you honestly expect he will help Puerto Rico?Just look throughout the middle keys!
If he wants to get elected senator he will at least need to give the "appearance" that he will help. He is very good at acting like a Democrat when it comes to campaigning. Don't be fooled. It won't last. It is just an act.
I have always supported you Mr. Gov.,but there is no reason for Florida to support PR.The feds can do that.Just because Florida has a large PR population, there is no reason for you to spend a DIME of our tax dollars on some place that is a Federal problem.....you are wrong badly on this one.perhaps you can work on getting wages in Florida to go up like our homes and property taxes have.
Have Puerto Rico HelpThemselves instead of getting free handouts.Cause if u giving free handouts like corrie brown is with icecream cones. I need a roof handed over this way...
Keep them there..they don't speak English..and turn Florida into Puerto Rico. You have to be bilingual to get a job here..omg..is this the US. Have them rebuild..their own country..no more catering to them..God bless❤
PR can't take care of themselves so it is hard to help them. The unions control the labor on the island and if it needs done quickly, it can wait till 'ma~ana'! I lived and worked there! There are some good people there but there are also a lot of those that are looking for someone to take care of them. Don't Bring them to Florida! Help them to fix their own problems but don't make them our problem!
This is fantastic. I've been here for 3 weeks now and restoration is going forward at a snails place. When the generator at the house I'm staying at turns off, I mine as well be in the woods. No internet (can't use a cell hotspot), nothing.
Traffic seems to be underestimated. I would emphasize how bad the traffic is. This could be alleviated by fixing traffic lights on main arteries and powering them with a small generator (I saw this work well in 2016 in Daytona Beach, hurricane Matthew). People are losing hours of work every day while they are stuck in traffic.
The east part of Isla Verde seems to have some power. Would be great to see that build upon, especially where there are hotels. The San Juan Marriott is housing an incredible amount of adjusters and consultants etc. If a hotel that big loses generator power, it will be a giant wrench in the restoration efforts as many workers would get the first flight out of here.
One big problem is Puerto Rico is of their own making....the unions. The Union truck drivers wouldn't move the goods off the loading docks once they were shipped in. There were donations found in dumpsters. We need to help people....but mostly help them to "learn to fish". Just giving them a fish for the day perpetuates the problem and makes them angry....like welfare does here.
