This is what we get when we raise a generation of participation trophy recipients. A true competition has winners and losers. Accept the fact that you could be one or the other at any time.
Because this is how you are when you are used to winning and then lose. No one wins forever there will always be someone who can do it a little better then you, who will do better at that one time then you did. You should always be prepared to accept the Participation Trophy and your parents, coaches, fellow participants should have taught you that.
This is how life is, so get used to it. Not everyone can win, and part of being a winner is being gracious during defeat.
This is what happens when you are never taught that sometimes you just don’t get the win. God Help Her, she’s in for a long and painful life. Sad to live thinking you are the greatest just to find out you are not.
I watched the performance and it was nothing spectacular. She ditch a triple for a single. This was qualifying for the Olympics..... You can't leave anything on the table.
She thinks she is furious just think how furious the fans os figuring skating would have been if you replaced the third place winner again this time around without earning the spot on the team. I was very furious when they put you on the team in 2014. You didn’t earn it. You would have finished way off the podium this time if they sent you to the Olympics. The three that are going have a lot better chance of getting medals. Get over yourself. The. Other girls were a lot better and they earned their spots. If you wanted to win that badly maybe. In the last four years you have been practicing to do a triple axel. What a sore loser
She was put into the last Olympics OVER the Bronze winner. The girl that finished 3rd 4 years ago was devastated to be left off the team for her. I'd say she's angling to take someone else's spot this time too.
I watched and she was not that good....that's what a competition is all about....I was impressed by the Bell young lady.
She even admitted it herself she didnt skate a good program!!! Mommy and Daddy need to be embarrassed along with her for her actions upon losing!!!
Actually, I watched the skating performances and I was very surprised Ashley was bumped out. The skater who bumped her to 4th made more mistakes and fell on a jump but, received a high mark for the fall. Plus, Ashley’s routine was very polished and fun to watch whereas, the other girl was less so. I am not a judge but, I questioned their decision on that. It isn’t the first time, through the years I have been astonished at skating judging where they have given high marks where I felt they should not have. Happens at the Olympics too. It is almost like they have their preferences/prejudices where they should not. Having said all that, Ashley should have questioned it without going public.
