The plan you're supporting hurts way too many people who need help and helps way too many people who could afford to give more. It's very "un-Christ-like" for those who promote themselves as being good Christians.
This is common sense. Why would it ever be that way in the first place. No pats on the back for common sense.
We could grant them amnesty like Ronald Reagan did and make them into honest taxpayers. Plus when they no longer are part of the underground economy, they'll have to be paid more money or they'll go anyplace else to find a better job. Wouldn't bringing 11 million illegals out of the black market and into the mainstream economy be a huge economic stimulus?
You're leaving out an important part of the equation: undocumented immigrants pay nearly $12 billion in taxes. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.forbes.com/sites/niallmccarthy/2016/10/...
I'm also gonna add that IN's population of undocumented immigrants is only about 1.5% of the population (half the proportion of IL), and shrinking every year. So why is this such a big issue for you? Oh, right, because sowing seeds of hate and resentment is a much more effective campaign strategy than actually creating policies that help working families.
What about raising the child credit,? When you do that then the ones that "work the system" will get even more money back for NOT working. How are you going to handle that?
I agree and am grateful! I am very poor, work hard and help others in need. I do not do anything for those that can do it on there own especially Takers.
