Please be the voice of reason and VETO House Bill 7069. This bill to originally be 6 pages, and the last day of session become 274 pages is wrong. As our leader I would be furious to have this much happening behind closed doors. 54 bills that have already been presented to the house are crammed into this bill. Giving teachers a bonus on the merit of their SAT scores is insane. Would we pay lawyers according to their LSTAT scores? The language in regards to charter schools doesn't hold them to the same standards as public schools. Let's invest in our children on the front end vs them ending up in a life of crime. This bill is the demise of public education. Those who voted in favor of this bill must have ties to charter schools, or just didn't do their job and read all 274 pages. Veto House Bill 7069!
He really works for hard Florida. The negative nasty leftists bash him mercilessly but it only reveals them for what they are. They more they squeal and lie, the better job you are doing. What a shame that these neocommunists even exist.
You should be completely ashamed of yourself for repeatedly ignoring what the people want! You constantly show that you are not "for the people" but 100% for yourself.
Do you honestly even bother to take into account what Floridians want? I would love an answer.
For example - FL Republicans stated that they did not pass a medical marijuana law due to a lack of research. You just vetoed a bill that would have funded medical marijuana research. I would like to know why. If 71% of the people voted saying that YES they want medical marijuana - why do you completely ignore what Floridians have said they wanted. PLEASE RICK SCOTT ANSWER.
Attention Rick Scott or the person that handles the Facebook page please get this to Rick Scott. Many years ago there was a reduction in violent crime and the only thing that it was linked to was the fact that Florida increased it's concealed weapon permit program and as concealed weapon permits increased crime decreased. Look it up there's a study.I have an idea that you can increase state revenue in a large amount during your term which will make you a hero.In the state of Louisiana they now have a lifetime concealed weapon permit. The cost is $200. I believe that in Florida you could charge $275 for a lifetime concealed weapon permit. You could also charge $200 for an increase to a lifetime permit for current permit owners or as a renewal. You could offer it during your term because probably after you leave somebody would change it but those would already be grandfathered in. You need to do it as soon as possible because most likely president Trump will be instituting the national concealed weapon permit program and then you will not have an option to do it. This will also make you a big hero with gun owners/ voters. Now when you look at the statistics as reported and multiply those that would be new or those that would renew, you would have a extremely large increase in revenue for the state of Florida.Today there are well over 1.3 million law-abiding Floridians with a valid concealed weapons permit,1.3 million. That's the most in the nation -- nearly double that of the second state, which is Texas. Sorry, Gov. Perry." Yep, Florida does have 1,384,756 million concealed weapon permit holders as of March 2015.Apr 15, 2015 ( according to PolitiFact Florida). If only half of those upgraded to the lifetime program at $200 a piece you would have brought into the State of Florida a revenue of;$133,300,000
Sir, my friends in CT say you will be visiting their state soon. The northeastern CT corridor neighborhoods have discovered their home foundations are crumbling due to poor cement admixture. Amanda AW & Chris CW are messaging their representatives. They laud your care & treatment of your FL people, suffering with Chinese sheetrock 'offgassing' toxins into our homes. Thx 4 listening!
Well, I believe the residents of Florida have had enough of the leadership in Florida's opposition to what we vote for. I hope people pay attention to our leadership's inability to govern and put each and everyone of the current leaders to the curb next election. "DRAIN THE SWAMP"
For every $1 of State of Florida money spent for Enterprise Florida we get a return of $4.3 into state coffers. For every $1 of State of Florida money spent for Visit Florida we get a return of $3.7 into state coffers. Our state legislators are very short sighted to have reduced the budgeted amounts for these highly successful programs.
hmm "let's get to work"! Just moved to Tallahassee and am shocked to read that Leon Co (for the 3rd year in a row) has the highest crime rate in the State. Also, the number of "D" and "F" rated schools is appalling! There's a definite connection between low-performing schools and crime. What are you doing Gov. Scott to change this unacceptable climate in Tallahassee?
How about cleaning up our overly polluted state, protecting our wildlife, joining the other states standing up for the Paris Climate Accord, enhancing public schools instead of depleting public a school funding, letting us keep all our reproductive rights, regulating guns.
Everyone of you filthy foxes and violation of Article 2 Section 3 of the Florida Federalist Papers you all need to be drawn and quartered just like the Spanish Inquisition you're all Breaking the Law constitutional law you f*** bag
