How is Aaron Rodgers spending his nights as a single man? Getting into hilarious Twitter spats with fictional movie characters.
The Packers quarterback responded to a tweet Wednesday night from the account of "Happy Gilmore" villain Shooter McGavin, who suggested Rodgers take up golf as a "great way to stay in shape."
What followed was simply Twitter gold as the two played off each other with a plethora of references to the 1996 comedy.
The villain of the Adam Sandler golf movie may not have a verified Twitter account, but does have over 307,000 followers. The 33-year-old Rodgers, who led the Packers to a Super Bowl championship in 2010 and was the NFL MVP in 2011 and 2014, has over 3.1 million followers.
McGavin was played by actor Christopher McDonald, but there is no indication that McDonald is involved with the Shooter McGavin account.
The back-and-forth with McGavin was, as one Twitter user put it, one of the reasons to love Twitter.
This isn't the first time Rodgers and McGavin have gone at it on Twitter. They also had a hilarious feud in 2013.
